Preliminary exercise

For the Preliminary exercise, we were asked to create a college magazine whereby, I would have to design the front cover and contents page. To decide what the front cover would consist of I made a mind map of what makes Stanmore College so special and the different opportunities/classes/rooms the college consist of. I had come to a conclusion that my main focus point to what makes up a college is the students. Therefore, I took a couple of pictures of students which engages to the audience.  Furthermore, the image was a medium body shot; this meant that it was a full bleed on the cover.  The title of the magazine would be one of the key to the magazine as it helps create its own identity. We had to create a title and include a different cover line which would highlight the main stories that the magazine would provide. Also, we had to create our contents page. This consists of information of the features the magazine provides, through the use of page numbers.
